With the use of a thermal imaging camera to detect faults has the advantage of being non invasive and non destructive.

It is rare for faults and failures to occur without the build up of heat energy. Most electrical faults are caused initially by loose connections. Detecting these  problems early and rectifying them before a catastrophic failure occurs can save considerable costs and downtime.

What does it entail?

A thermographic survey involves a visual inspection of the installation followed by electrical tests of voltage, current draw and power consumption. A survey using a thermal imaging camera will be carried out concentrating on possible points of failure. A report will then be created highlighting potential issues and providing a reference for all future surveys.
